Carry your internet connectivity in your pocket. Using your regular browser, set the way you like, from whatever machine you are using, to access the internet. Have instant access to your browser settings the way you like, containing all of your favourites and bookmarks in your pocket. Portable Firefox has been created by johnhaller.com and is an implementation of the popular freeware program.
You can also carry your email in your pocket. Several email clients have been developed that can run from your USB. Your mail may not be downloaded to your USB with some programs only managed from it, depending on whether you use IMAP or POP protocols and so on, so maybe not a flexible as other offerings, you need to be aware of the limitations and setup in order to make your decision.
Portable Thunderbird again from johnhaller.com has the capability of supporting RSS feeds and blogs. iScribe is a single user version of the product Scribe its features include an integrated calendar and contact manager.
Mobile Assistant is a utility that attempts to take your desktop with you. It stores your desktop configuration, bookmarks, My Documents contents but it is not yet in a finished state but maybe worth a go.
